When God wants to use a person filling them with his power, he first removes the things they put their trust in. Moses was a great man in Egypt, raised in Pharaoh’s house. He was taught in the best schools and lived in wealth. But it was not until he lived in the desert for 40 years that God could use him in a great way. As long as he depended on his own abilities, education and wealth, he was not usable. He had to be emptied of his own resources to be filled with God’s resources. He wants you to know that God is our resource.
He wants you to know that God is our resource
I was walking in the park asking God what to pray. With no job I had lived on miracles. “I don’t know what to pray, Lord. What should I pray?”
“Thank me that I am your resource,” He said in that still small voice in my mind. I walked along the Missouri River saying, “Thank you God that you are my resource.”
My eyes opened to see the birds, trees, sun and river. The birds sang a song of praise as I lifted my heart in praise to God. The powerful Missouri River seemed to say, “Your God is an awesome God.” He had made them all and He was my resource. In focusing on Him rather than the problem, my hope was restored. My bills got paid and I learned that we do not live by this worlds standards. God cares for his people.
