A Look At Today’s Battle For Human Rights
Back in 1869, Susan B. Anthony stated: “I deplore the horrible crime of child murder.
.. No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn
innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in
life, it will burden her soul in death; but oh! Thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation
which impels her to the crime.”
As I look at Susan B. Anthony’s quote I also think of the doctors who did, (and do ), the abortions.
Their guilt is 100 fold because they knew they were murdering babies.
My grandmother in the early 1930’s had three small children during the depression.
I am sure she wondered how she could care for another baby. An abortionist came to her home and murdered
both her and the baby leaving three little children orphaned. My grandfather had to put the children in an
orphanage so he could work in the WPA, (Works Progress Administration), a program Roosevelt started to
give out of work men a chance to earm a few dollars by doing meaningful work.
Five years later he was killed in a machine accident leaving his three children fatherless as well as motherless.
His last request was that the children not be separated which made it impossible for them to be adopted.
In those days it was a disgrace to have an abortion. In the 1930’s they did not have ultrasound machines
that let you see the baby and hear his/her heart beat. Had my grandmother known what she was doing and the
grief it would cause, I am sure she would not have done it. Many today think they are taking the only way out
by having an abortion, but suffer years later, knowing they have taken the life of their own child.
I have several friends who can not have children because of the damage caused by an abortion they
had when in their teens.
I believe in human rights and that people have the right to choose. The Pregnancy Help Center shows the truth.
We show a young mom the baby and his/her stage of development. We let her hear the heartbeat. And we
walk with the young mom throughout the pregnancy and after the baby is born we assist her in adoption or
parenting. I believe that most abortions occur because the young mom does not understand the value of the life
within her or that she has a choice other than abortion.
